About MASK Foundation

MASK Foundation was founded in 2024 by Trust Katsande, a Plant Health Professional with a deep passion for addressing food insecurity. This passion was ignited by his parents, who instilled in him the importance of self-sufficiency and the power of agriculture to build strong communities. Trust's extensive experience with organizations like the FAO and a strong academic background further inspired the creation of an organization focused on empowering immigrant communities. Our team is comprised of diverse professionals with expertise in agriculture, policy, community development, and education, united by a commitment to sustainable solutions. We focus on supporting immigrant communities from regions like Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and the Caribbean, providing them with the tools and knowledge to cultivate culturally relevant staple foods.
